Well...it's started again. After being airplaneless, for 6 months, I couldn't stand it anymore...had to get to working on something. Found a Kitfox Series 5 kit for sale at a good price and made the deal. Only problem...it's in Missouri. WAY in Missouri! Few pictures of the trip and a MAJOR THANK-YOU to Harris and Lamar for the help and company...and I hope the nightmares from my driving in St. Louis...at rush hour...go away before too long. (I still have a little nervous twitch when I see anything arch shaped...?) Here is a shot of one of the obvious landmarks along the way...any guesses where we were??? Beautiful farm land... This sign is a good indication of how far off the beaten path we were... Jamesport, Missouri...population 505. A big chunk of that populace are Amish as well. Probably not the place to find a serious party on a Friday night, but one of the most picturesque pieces of Americana I've ever seen... You'll have to take my word for it...but this is a 4 horsepowered bushhog...no, REALLY! It is a Rhino bushhog deck pulled by 4 horses. We were told they have a small diesel engine to turn the blades...My next question then is if the little engine is OK, why not a tractor??? I guess this is the carnival coming to town...with the orange streamers trailing of the vertical stabilizer, it sure looked like one. Was definitely a LOOONG ride...but well worth it. ;-) Hopefully mine will look like one of these before too long...
